                                                                              ABOUT OUR FAITH
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God. We believe in His substitutionary death for all men, His resurrection, and His eventual return to judge the world.   We believe all men are born with a sinful nature and that the work of the cross was to redeem man from the power of sin. We believe that this salvation is available to all who will receive it.
We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity and in His interaction with man. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as manifested by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.  We believe in the Scripture as the inspired Word of God and that it is the complete revelation of God's will for mankind. We believe in the absolute authority of the Scripture to govern the affairs of men.  We believe that every man is the steward of his life and resources, which ultimately belong to God. We believe that tithing is a measure of obedience to the scriptural principles of stewardship.
We believe in the Church as the eternal and universal Body of Christ consisting of all those who have accepted the work of the atonement. We believe in the need for a local assembly of believers for the purpose of evangelism and edification.  We believe in the worship of the Lord through singing, clapping, and the lifting of hands. We believe in the authority of the believer to ask freely of the Lord for his needs.  We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to the Church body through the anointing of oil by the elders of the church.  We believe that evangelism is the obligation of every follower of Jesus Christ. The Lord commands us to go out and make disciples of all the Earth. We believe that each person is first responsible to evangelism in their own family as the Holy Spirit leads them and gives them the ability.

"Dear God in heaven, I come before you in the name of Jesus. I confess that I am a sinner and ask you to forgive me and cleanse me from my sins. I receive Jesus as my Savior and ask Him to come into my heart. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and that You raised Him from the dead. I ask you to please help me to live as you want me to live. I thank you for the gift of your wonderful Son Jesus and Your merciful free gift of salvation. In Jesus' wonderful name. Amen."

  Prayer Request
My name is Gary R. Wolfe and I became a Child of God in 1982 at Calvary Assembly of God in Harrisburg, PA. In my walk with the Lord, He has used me to do many different ministries for His glory.  I have taught Sunday school to both youth and adults.  I sang in church choirs, lead worship services, and taught special classes on topics that help people to grow in the Lord.  I went to bible college, through Lynchburg Bible College, Lynchburg, VA.   I went to school for counseling, became an Ordained Minister and was pastor of a church in Lebanon for 8 years for street people, and also a Ministry called "PointMan", an outreach for Veterans. My oldest Son Richard is also an ordained Minister and he stood with me at the ministry for street people and Veterans (PointMan).

I became a solo singer and recorded my first cassette in the early 90'S.  I had a radio program on WGCB, out of Red Lion, PA.  I appeared on different television ministries, including "Keystone on the Line" with Jerry Jacobs. My son Gary who was 16 at the time, (I have 4 sons and 2 daughters) was on "Keystone on the line" with me.
I was also on Marianna Esworth's ministry program on the same station, with my daughter Jennifer.  It was a Christmas Special, and she was only 9 years old at the time. Most of my Children have musical talent.  Randy can play almost any string instrument and some brass. Joshua, Shirley, Jennifer and Gary can all play the Piano, or keyboard.

I have a counseling Ministry on the computer and reach out to people through email and chat when possible.   Chris and I married on December 31, 2004 and she has now joined me in my singing ministry, now known as The Only Purpose, and does many things to encourage me.  She stands with me in our ministry, and counsels people at times.  She is a blessing and helps me to keep going when things get tough.
Chris has become so anointed in her singing for the Lord, and she is touching many hearts and souls.  Our only reason to sing and minister is to glorify our Lord and be used by the Holy Spirit working through us to reach people that are hurting, depressed, and/or living without Jesus Christ in their lives.  We always want to be and do what He calls us to do each day.

            No one is good enough.
"There is no one righteous, not even one;" - Romans 3:10
            You are a sinner.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23
God loves us, even though we are sinners.

"But God demonstrates His Love for us, in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died             for us." - Romans 5:8
        The provision - God's Gift.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our                       Lord." - Romans 6:23
"For it is by the grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by worls, so that no one can boast." -
          Ephesians     2:8-9
There must be repentance of sin (turning away from sin).
"Repent and believe the Good News!"
The required action - believe and confess.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God           raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED. For it is with your heart that you                       believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." -                Romans 10:9-10
  The result - Salvation.
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord WILL BE SAVED." - Romans 10:13
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to                   men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4:12

Testimony of Viet Nam Battle
I had many friends in Viet Nam, but we only went by first names. We all had a saying: “It don’t matter!” meaning we were bound to get killed today or tomorrow.
I will never forget my soldier buddies. As the famous quote says: "All gave some and some gave all.”
Some died over there and others came back to the states messed up in even worse ways. If not physically then mentally messed up.
Many people have tried to tell us: ‘Get over Viet Nam’--‘It’s done’--‘Move on’! Let me say this; Viet Nam will be a part of me until the day I leave this world. The Lord now helps me deal with it one day at a time, but my memories will always be there.
We should NEVER put down the American soldier. We may not agree with what is taking place, but we need to support our troops and try to keep their moral up at all times. We must let them know we love them for the sacrifices they are making.
I lost my dear friend John while in Viet Nam, in La Drang Valley. Most Viet Nam Vets know it as “Death Valley.” Mel Gibson even made a movie about this battle, called “We Were Soldiers.”
John and I went through jungle training, advance infantry training and radio school together. We became close friends during this time. I will never forget, as we were boarding the helicopter going to “Death Valley,” the pat on the back and John saying to me, “ We have had many good times together.” At the time it just didn’t’ register in my mind why John said that to me.
He must of some how knew this was going to be the night.
As radio operators we were only ‘in country’ about 2 weeks before we were sent to help with communications in directing air strikes and calling for needed battle supplies. Everything suddenly turned into a living nightmare.
One night, John went a little distance from our position to go to the bathroom and was captured by the Viet Cong. He was gone much too long and I knew something was wrong. After about 10 minutes or so, we could hear screaming and I knew it was John. I called out several times to him, being cautious not to give away our position, to try and get his location, but only the screams kept coming back at me. It was pitch black in the jungle at night. You could barely see your own hand in front of your face. There was no way we could go into the jungle to try and find him. I felt so terribly helpless.
At first light we went out on what is called a search and destroy mission, to find John. I was the first to come upon him. He was tied, spread eagle, between some trees. As I got closer I could see that the Viet Cong had skinned him. They also placed in his mouth, for further humiliation, his cut off private parts.
I will never forget the sounds of his cry for help or his screams of pain as I held him in my arms and cried like a baby.
I kept thinking about how John always talked about his mother and family back home, and how much he loved his country and how he was willing to give his all for it. That night he did give his all.
John was a great friend I will never forget.
I thank God for the time I got to know John and other friends. I pray for the troops today and hope they are not treated like dirt and called baby killer or other names like we were. It was war. Human beings die. I still deal with the fact that I had to take a child’s life. Those children were sent out to die trying to kill us just as terrorists today are willing to die, to kill us. We need to let our soldiers know we appreciate the fact that they did their best while serving the country that they love so much and gave their all for.
When I returned to the base camp after finding John, I discovered a poem in his shirt pocket that he had written the same evening just before he was captured. As you read the poem, read it with your heart remembering how John loved his country and that some how, he knew it was going to be his last day here.
One more thing to remember: THE NAMES ON THE WALL IN WASHINGTON ARE NOT JUST NAMES ON A WALL. THEY WERE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN WHO LOVED THEIR COUNTRY AND FOUGHT TO HELP KEEP OUR COUNTRY FREE.
I love each one of them in a special way.
In God’s Love and Glory,
Evangelist Gary R. Wolfe

HELLO GOD!
Look God, I have never spoken to you,
but now I want to say, “How do You do.”
You see, God, they told me You didn’t exist.
And like a fool, I believed all of this.
Last night from a shell hole I saw Your sky.
I figured right then they had told me a lie.
Had I taken the time to see the things you made,
I’d know they weren’t calling a spade a spade.
I wonder, God, if You’ll take my hand.
Somehow I feel that You will understand.
Funny, I had to come to this hellish place,
Before I had time to see Your face.
Well, I guess there isn’t much more to say,
But I am sure glad, God, I met You today.
I guess the zero hour will soon be here,
But I am not afraid since I know You are near.
The signal—well, God, I’ll have to go.
I like You lots, this I want You to know.
Look now, this will be a horrible fight.
Who knows, I may come to Your house tonight.
Though I wasn’t friendly with You before,
I wonder, God, if You’d wait at Your door.
Look—I am crying, me shedding tears.
I wish I’d known You these past years.
Well, I’ll have to go now, God---goodbye.
Strange—since I met You, I am not afraid to die.

       About Us
Chris's Testimony
At the age of 10 or 11 some neighbors took me to a Revival at their Baptist church on the outskirts of a small town in South Carolina.  I was moved to walk down the aisle, get on my knees and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  Now, I didn’t have much experience at understanding what was really happening, but even at that tender age, I knew something special had taken place and I felt a peace and joy come over me that I had never felt before.  However, I didn’t know how to ask or who to ask to help me continue in my desire to have Christ in my life.  It was never stressed to me that I should want or try to have Jesus Christ as the center of my life, so I just continued growing up the way things were.  I remember Sunday school took on a new meaning, but shortly after all this happened even the Sunday school stopped.  My loving parents taught me well the difference between right and wrong and stressed the ‘golden rule’; to treat other people the way you would want to be treated.  And that’s exactly what I did to the best of my ability.  In my adult life I kept trying to find a church (or something) that could give me the same kind of joy I had felt as a child at that revival, but it never happened.  I just kept seeing “Christians” around me giving all their lip service for the Lord and feeling in my heart that something was so very wrong with all I was seeing.  I would stop going to that church, too.  I, like SO MANY OTHERS TODAY, looked at the not so real Christians out there and decided I didn’t want any part of them.  A whole sermon could be preached on this next statement, but I’ll try to keep it simple.  I have learned that Satan had a huge hand in what was going on with me because he did not want to lose me.  He kept me focused on the circumstances surrounding me instead of focusing on the real reason I was going to church to start off with!!!! And that was to find Jesus Christ again and let him into my life forever!  I continued living a sinful life but thinking I was “OK” because I was a “good person”.

I will try very hard now to explain the steps that some people go through to achieve true salvation.  You see, if someone had asked me back then if I were a Christian, I would have said yes.  If they asked me why I thought I was a Christian I would have answered:  “I’m a good person, I believe in God and Jesus and I always try to treat other people the way I would want to be treated.  I have a good heart and I pray and I have accepted Christ at the altar”.  WOW—DOESN’T THAT SOUND FAMILIAR!  Those are all great qualities to have and all true Christians DO fit that description, but just fitting the description DOES NOT MAKE YOU A TRUE CHRISTIAN!  There are a lot of good, kind people that faithfully serve the Lord every Sunday that will never know eternal life in glory.  There are millions of really good people out there that are going to burn in hell for eternity because they think that “being good” is all they need to do.  What’s even sadder is that they won’t even realize the lie they are living until they truly “give it up for Christ” and let His word reveal to them the truth.

Did anyone ever explain to you what Christianity is?  It is being Christ like.  Now think about this...it isn’t rocket science.  How do you become like someone else?  Would you want to be like someone that you didn’t love and admire?  Of course not.

First, you have to know all you can about that person.  We find out about other people by reading about them and talking about them with other people that know more about that person than we do.  Simple, huh?

One beautiful spring day in Hershey, PA, I was outside reading my bible.  I can’t tell you what I was reading, but I suddenly began to cry.  It was as if a light bulb lit up in my brain and I finally understood!  As the song says…..I SAW THE LIGHT and it all became so clear.  Faith...I had to really have faith in His word and trust Him for EVERYTHING.  AND I MEAN…REALLY…TRUST…HIM!!  Life suddenly seemed so wonderful.  I ran into the house to my husband Gary, who is a pastor, and screamed and cried to him with an excitement I hadn’t known since that childhood day, about how I wanted it ALL.  I told him I wanted EVERYTHING the Lord had to give and really wanted to serve the Lord the rest of my days.  He anointed me with oil, and we prayed and cried together for what seemed like a glorious length of time!  I can’t tell you the exact date of my re-birth but I can express to you the unbelievable peace and love that came over me and still exists within me to this day.  I sold out to Christ……I died to self….I realized that I could do nothing without the mercy, grace, and glory of the Lord.  I try to serve Christ with every breath I draw and bring glory to Him with everything I do!  I’m truly born again!  I’m a new person…the old Chris is dead.

Thank you Father for all you did, do and will continue to do in my life!  May I always serve you well!
